Short answer
If you use Google Forms as a redirect destination for your QR codes, Linkbreakers can now sync form responses back to your visitors automatically. Connect your Google account, and every form response gets matched to the person who scanned the QR code.
What we shipped
A native Google Forms integration that works without any manual configuration. Here's how it works:
- You connect your Google account on the integrations page.
- Linkbreakers detects which of your links redirect to a Google Form.
- Every 5 minutes, new form responses are fetched and matched to the visitor who scanned the QR code.
- Visitor profiles are enriched with the form data — email, phone, name, and any custom fields.
That's it. No form selection, no field mapping, no tracking codes to set up.
How the matching works
When someone scans your QR code and fills out the Google Form, Linkbreakers knows the scan timestamp and the form URL. When a new response comes in, it matches it to the most recent scan event for that same form within a time window. The visitor who scanned the code gets their profile enriched with whatever they submitted in the form.
Fields are auto-mapped by question title. A question called "Email" maps to the visitor's email. "Phone" maps to phone. "Name" maps to first name. Everything else is stored as a custom attribute on the visitor.
What you see in the dashboard
On the Google Forms integration page, you'll see:
- Detected Forms — a list of your links that redirect to Google Forms, with a status indicator showing whether the form is accessible with your connected account.
- Sync Stats — how many responses have been synced and how many visitors were enriched.
- Sync Now — a button to trigger an immediate sync instead of waiting for the next 5-minute cycle.
When creating or editing a link, if you enter a Google Forms URL as the destination, a callout confirms that responses will sync automatically — or prompts you to activate the integration if you haven't connected yet.
Requirements
- A Google account that owns or has editor access to the forms you're using.
- Conversion tracking enabled on the redirect step (so Linkbreakers can track the scan-to-form journey).
- The Google Forms API and Google Drive API enabled in the Linkbreakers Google Cloud project (this is already done — no action needed from you).
What's next
We're monitoring how the integration performs and plan to add real-time sync via Google's push notification API in a future update. For now, responses are synced every 5 minutes.
