# Print hundreds of on-brand QR codes from one link

> One dynamic link now prints as hundreds of QR codes, one per serial number, table, batch or GS1 Digital Link, each in your QR design. Render them from the dashboard, the API, the CLI, the SDKs or an AI agent over MCP.

## Short answer

A [dynamic link](/help/article/dynamic-slugs-capture-data-from-the-url-path) such as `p/{serial}` or `01/09506000134352/10/{batch}` answers every value in its braces and saves that value on the visitor. You can now get its QR codes the same way: give the values you print, and Linkbreakers returns one QR code per value, in the link's own QR design (colours, dot style, shape, logo). Up to 100 codes per call, as PNG or SVG, from the dashboard, the API, the CLI, the SDKs, or any AI agent connected to the [MCP server](/help/article/mcp-server-setup).

## What we shipped

### One link, one code per value

Before, a dynamic link had one QR code that held the pattern itself, and printing a code per serial meant generating them elsewhere, without your design. Now each value gets its own code, styled like the link:

- **Product units:** one code per serial number, for warranty registration, authenticity checks or a digital product passport.
- **Restaurants, hotels and venues:** one code per table, room or seat, so you know where an order or a request came from.
- **Packaging:** one code per batch or lot, including the GS1 Digital Link standard (`01/{gtin}/10/{batch}`), so a recalled batch can get its notice from the first scan. See [GS1 Digital Link QR codes with Linkbreakers](/help/article/gs1-digital-link-qr-codes-with-linkbreakers).
- **Events and field teams:** one code per booth, store, sales rep or flyer drop, all on one link and one workflow.

Each scan saves the value (`serial = A1B2C3`) on the visitor, where [visitor data conditions](/help/article/how-to-use-visitor-data-conditions) can route on it right away.

**Download QR code** on a dynamic link opens a dialog: enter the values, see the code in your design, download it as PNG or SVG.

Each item comes back with its address and a link to its image, in the order you sent them. On the CLI it is `linkbreakers links render-qrcode-images`, and in every SDK `linksServiceRenderQrcodeImages`. A regular link works too: send one item without values to get its code at the size and format you need.

### For AI agents

The MCP tool `links_render_qrcode` gives the same to Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any agent connected to the MCP server, and the Assistant in the dashboard uses it as well. "Create a GS1 link for GTIN 09506000134352 on qr.mybrand.com and make me the codes for batches LOT001 to LOT120" is a complete request: the agent creates the link, then renders the 120 codes in two calls.

## Limits and caveats

- Up to 100 codes per call. For a bigger run, call again with the next 100.
- Sizes from 256 to 4096 pixels. SVG is the better choice for print at any size.
- Image links expire, so download the files rather than storing the links. Asking for the same code again is instant.
- Dynamic links need a custom domain, and the Free plan includes one.

## Frequently asked questions

### Do the codes use my QR design?

Yes, every code uses the link's saved design: colours and gradients, dot and corner styles, shape and logo. Change the design and the next codes use it.

### Is there a cost?

No. Rendering codes is included on every plan.

### Are the scans counted as QR code scans?

Yes. Every rendered code opens its address with the same QR marker as the link's own code, so its scans count as QR code scans in analytics.

### Can I print 10,000 codes?

Yes, in pages of 100 calls from a script or an agent. A call of 100 new codes takes about 10 to 15 seconds.
